Deynaba Osman Farah

Sr Deynaba Osman Farah was born in Somalia and grew up in Syracuse. She attended OCC and Syracuse University; there she earned a degree in Social Work. She loves to learn and teach about Islam. She attends Timbuktu Seminary, where she completed the memorization of the Quran, and continues to take classes to perfect her recitation of the Quran. For the last six years, Sr Deynaba has spent her weekend teaching children Quran memorization, Tilaawah and Islamic studies to over 40 students. Deynaba will bring those skills and experiences when planning and executing education programs as the Director of Education Programs (DEP) at ISCNY.
